Our community is nature at its finest and the walking, biking and hiking trails that traverse this lush area will become a beautiful part of your lifestyle. Our residents are passionate about this precious resource. The Friends of Glade Trails is a group of resident volunteers who are interested in constructing and maintaining new trails throughout Fairfield Glade—these incredible trails wouldn’t be possible without them! Get ready to explore the Central Trails, the North Trail, Overlook Trail, Rotherham Trail, Stonehenge Trail, Seven Bridges Trail…and that’s just the beginning!

Two Wheels, Endless Adventure!

Biking through Fairfield Glade is a two-wheeled adventure!  We have Biking Groups that meet regularly to cover the many miles of roads throughout the community.  Twists, turns, climbs and descents – our biking trails offer exciting opportunities for the novice rider or the more advanced. And with our welcoming residents and easy-going atmosphere, getting involved is easy!

Central Trails

4.6 MILES, PAVED

4.6 miles of easy-walking paved sidewalks in the Central region of Fairfield Glade offering access to most all of the Club’s amenities: Mirror Lake, Stonehenge Golf Club and the Druid Hills Recreation Area with its pool, mini-golf and art gallery.

North Trails

4.3 MILES

4.3-miles of stunning scenery! Huge, moss covered rocks can be seen as you follow this beautiful woodland trail around Peavine Mountain. Enjoy ancient trees towering above as you wind your way along the path past rocky cliffs, small creeks and the occasional cave.

Rotherham Trail

The Rotherham Trail is named for the nearby Rotherham Drive. The trail forms part of the Red Loop and Blue Loop and more information is provided in those trail descriptions on the trails site: https://gladetrails.com/trails/#red

Parking Directions:

From the junction of Peavine Road and Stonehenge Drive, take Peavine Road east for half a mile and turn left on to Catoosa Boulevard.  After about 1.2 miles turn left on to Rotherham Drive.  Drive down the steep hill and after 0.6 miles you will come to the parking lot on the left at the end of Lake Dartmoor.

Overlook Trail

1.9 MILES

Hike the Overlook Trail which descends into the valley and follows Daddy’s Creek for about a mile. Depending on the season, the creek may be a whitewater torrent or a placid stretch of water. Enjoy!
