Local Entertainment

Both Fairfield Glade and the city of Crossville routinely provide outdoor music with a wide range of interests. Fairfield Glade hosts their activities around our centrally located mirror lake while the city of Crossville brings their groups into their bandshell between the historic courthouse and public library. Other fun entertainment venues are the Cumberland County Playhouse and the Palace Theatre:

Cumberland County Playhouse

Surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the Cumberland Plateau, Cumberland County Playhouse boasts one of America‚Äôs most ambitious and diverse theatrical lineups. From classic musicals to exciting new works, the Playhouse has it all! Founded in 1965, the Playhouse is celebrating fifty years of bringing the finest theatrical offerings to Tennessee, Appalachia and the South. Each year, Cumberland County Playhouse welcomes more than 130,000 visitors… and its year-round season of rotating repertory means those visitors can see as many as five different productions in a single week! Our 2018 lineup includes The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Legally Blonde, Sweeney Todd, Smoke on the Mountain, and Holiday Inn, plus an exciting list of concerts. The Palace Theatre

Featuring live entertainment in a variety of musical styles, the Palace Theatre hosts concerts of Jazz, Blues, Country, Bluegrass and Rock, just to name a few. The Palace provided the public with a distraction from everyday life during the 1930s and difficult war years and was lovingly restored and reopened for the enjoyment of the entire community in 2001!
